PRIMA PEARL TOWER
Developer: Sciavello and PDG Corporation
Architect: Disegno Australia
Builder: Brookfield Multiplex
Prima Pearl is a 74-storey residential tower located in the heart of Melbourne’s Southbank precinct. Standing 254 m high, this irregular shaped building includes an 11-storey podium that incorporates 611 resident car parks and a recreational floor including a gym, lounge, pool, golf range and barbecue.
Floors 10 through to 66 include 670 one to five-bedroom apartments, while floor 67 incorporates an additional recreation level, plus a sky lounge to service the penthouses. The building also includes three levels of roof plant and lift motor rooms. There is also a small basement in the centre core for access to the lift pits. The façade is characterized by its double curvature surface geometry. The surface geometry was realized through a combination of cold bending during installation and variable panel geometry.
