  • Take a family-centred approach to treating children and adolescents from Victoria and beyond
  • Be Australia’s greenest hospital
  • Be the home of Australia's largest child health research institute, the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute, and University of Melbourne Department of Paediatrics - a leader in paediatric teaching, research and clinical practice.

BG&E Façades Pty Limited was engaged as Façade Consultant. We have worked closely with Billard Leece, Bates Smart and Bovis Lend Lease to assist the design team in meeting their aspirations. Our role involves descriptive façade design, on-site quality monitoring and control, materials science and material selection, energy performance assessment, and the identification of façade construction strategies. The North building involved precast concrete panels, with applied glass and glass sun shading. The East-West building involved precast concrete panels, strip windows, curtain walling and a screen of hanging glass petals to the main façade along Flemington Road.
