In his role as UAE Manager, Simon is responsible for running the day-to-day business operations of the UAE offices.
He has been instrumental in the coordination and delivery of numerous high-profile projects in the Middle East. Simon is also responsible for business expansion in the Middle East and takes great pride in fostering ongoing relationships, both recent and long-term.
Having been in the UAE since 2003, he is able to use this wealth of experience to help guide an ever-expanding team.
Technical Director – Structures, Dubai
Jens has 24 years’ experience in the design and documentation of large projects and since 2001 has been working in the Middle East where he has developed particular expertise in delivering innovative engineering solutions for the design of high-rise structures and precast building systems.
Jens has been involved in a wide range of buildings projects including large scale tall and low-rise projects, facilities such as residential, commercial, health, civil, educational, cultural, industrial, sports arenas, car parks, research, and sustainable buildings all over the world.
Jens’ excellent communication skills and approach to working closely with the client from the earliest stages of the project through to completion on site, have been key factors in the growth of the Dubai office's reputation, size and client base.
Manager - Abu Dhabi | Technical Director – Bridges (Middle East)
Francesco manages BG&E office in Abu Dhabi and he is also the Middle East Regional Technical Director for Bridges.
He has extensive international experience in the field of structural and bridge engineering. His experience covers a wide range of structures, including highways and railways bridges, footbridges, cut-and-cover tunnels and other complex one-off type of structures.
Francesco was responsible for the feasibility, concept, preliminary, detailed designs, and independent design reviews of major international projects in the Middle East, UK, Europe, USA and Far East.
He was involved in value engineering of large-scale infrastructure projects including metros, railways and highways, with particular emphasis on producing alternative valued engineered solutions to optimize costs and programme and improve constructability.
He has written a number of technical papers and presented in national and international conferences. Francesco holds a PhD in Computational Mechanics, he is a Fellow Member of the Institution of Structural Engineers, the Chairman of the UAE Group of IABSE and a Member of the Steel Bridge Group UK.
