Paul Edwards brings 25 years of design experience to his role as Regional Manager at BG&E, leading a team known for delivering exceptional multidisciplinary projects across commercial, arts, culture, science, and industry sectors. Skilled in both new construction and adaptive reuse, Paul’s expertise spans low-carbon building design, advanced timber structures, heritage and seismic projects, and reinforced concrete and steel solutions.
Paul’s career includes working alongside top global architects like Renzo Piano Building Workshop, Herzog & de Meuron, Zaha Hadid Architects, and Diller Scofidio + Renfro. He led the engineering for the renowned Macallan Distillery in Scotland, collaborating closely with RSHP architects, and has contributed to projects worldwide, from Europe and Asia to Africa and the Americas.
Fluent in Italian and experienced in managing projects across cultural contexts, Paul is adept at navigating complex engineering challenges. He combines a deep understanding of materials and construction processes to maximise the value of existing structures, working closely with clients to address risk management with insurers and funders. In his leadership role at BG&E, Paul focuses on providing regional clients with engineering that integrates best-in-class design with practical construction insight, from project conception through to completion.
