The Victorian State Government’s budget released last week forecast an average of $21.3 billion of Government infrastructure investment a year over the forward estimates period. This is more than four times the average over the 10 years to 2014-15. This will drive 10-15 per cent annual growth in the construction industry over the coming years, and BG&E is well positioned to make a substantial contribution to the delivery of this infrastructure.

Today, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Andrew Schroth, as Director – New Business, Victoria (VIC).

This newly created role strengthens BG&E’s team that are tasked with creating opportunities to undertake design roles on major projects for clients in the Transport and Infrastructure, Property, Ports and Marine, Water, Defence, Renewables and Resources sectors.

Andrew is a civil engineer and has more than 35 years’ of experience in delivering major transport infrastructure, iconic high-rise, mixed-use developments and precinct projects. He also has extensive experience with large mining projects.

Rick Kreeck, Director VIC/SA at BG&E says, “It’s great to welcome Andrew to the business and we look forward to his contribution. His appointment enables us to serve more clients in Melbourne and beyond.”

Andrew has a long and successful track record, having formerly worked with WSP, Parsons Brinckerhoff and Lendlease, among others.
