Following a challenging time of navigating COVID-19 and adapting to remote work conditions, our continued client focus earned two of our projects a spot in the running for the Client Service Excellence Awards. Water services for the Emergency Work Response following the major rain event in 2021 on the Gold Coast, led by Stuart Cook, in addition to civil engineering services for the Pacific Motorway Exit 49 Upgrade Interchange, led by Katherine Heron for the BG&E and HDR Joint Venture, exceeded client expectations.
Our approach to client problem-solving extends to innovation, with the Hay Street Bridge Vertical Clearance Improvement Project, led by Erica Smith, shortlisted for the Innovative Design Awards category. We provided structural and civil engineering services, which included the design of a solution to raise the height of the bridge by 250 millimetres, replace a 21 metre section with a raised section, and add a bridge protection beam.
We are also proud to share that Nina Lee, Sydney Associate – Structures, is a finalist for the One Consult Champions of Change – Female Leadership Award, due to work pioneering the promotion of women and enhanced diversity and inclusion within engineering.
OneConsult Award winners will be announced on 31 March, when finalists and industry representatives get together at The Hilton in Sydney, New South Wales for the OneConsult Gala Dinner.
