Auckland International Airport Transport Hub 1

The ambitious Auckland airport expansion and redevelopment project encompasses a new second runway and merging of the international and domestic terminals, offering a seamless and more efficient travel experience in anticipation of a post COVID-19 travel rebound.

BG&E is providing structural peer review services for the NZ $200 million transport hub, which comprises one of four anchor projects from the major airport infrastructure upgrade that are progressing as part of the August 2021 COVID-19 Reset Plan.

The new transport hub, connected to the international terminal by an enclosed skybridge, will deliver enhanced access to commercial and public transport options. A new covered pick up/drop off area, valet services and covered car parks will extend the comfort and convenience of the travel journey to and from the airport.

The Auckland airport precinct-wide infrastructure plan answers the call of New Zealanders for a better travel experience, improving efficiency, speed and comfort for domestic and international travellers.
