Cornerstone Health expanded the company’s medical centre network in Queensland, by opening a facility in Ashmore on the Gold Coast, in 2021. The medical centre provides essential health services, such as bulk billing GPs, dental, pathology, radiology, allied health, specialists, and a treatment room for emergency care.

BG&E provided structural and civil engineering advice for the five million dollar refurbishment of the existing building, which was required to support the new medical centre, including:

• assessment of existing precast walls to allow larger roller door penetrations to be cut;
• floor slab strengthening with steel framing; and
• new awnings and signature structures.
