Brisbane’s first vertical school, Fortitude Valley State Secondary School, gives students a learning experience which makes the most of the urban surroundings, subtropical climate and the opportunity to engage with the community.

BG&E provided civil, structural, flood and traffic engineering for the flagship, future-focused educational facility, the Architectural concept was designed by Cox Architecture with Thomson Adsett delivering the final Architectural design.  The project offers both traditional classrooms and contemporary workshop and collaborative spaces, over a number of levels.

The early works for this $81 million development, allowed integration between the flood modelling and the civil and structural design, with the project being constructed by Hutchinson Builders well ahead of the initial schedule.
