Located in the national capital, Doha, Hamad International Airport is home to Qatar Airlines and replaced the former Doha International Airport.

BG&E delivered structural and construction engineering services for this expansive development, specifically, provided a third-party review and verification of the large span steel truss structure for the car rental area, and the design of the internal fit-out support structures, including the design of the foundations.

Our highly skilled team were subsequently engaged to advise on the remedial work to strengthen the existing airline lounge slabs for the provision of additional penetrations and partition walls, which included a review of the loadings capacity of the existing slab and submitting recommendations about the structural implementation.

BG&E also designed the fit-out for the coffee shops, restaurants and retail spaces within the airport, specifically the internal steelwork structures, which provided rationalisation of the design intent, loading assessments and a review of the penetrations layout.
