The Pad is a visionary residential, commercial, hospitality and retail development, representing the epitome of Dubai’s colourful architectural landscape, which pushes the boundaries of design for premium urban living and tourism attraction.

BG&E contributed to the design of the 24-storey residential tower, which is built on a six-degree slope, giving the impression of an Apple iPod in a docking station. The Pad offers some of the best high-end apartment living in the region, while wrapped in LED lighting and overlooking the infamous Burj Khalifa and the sea.

Our highly skilled engineers also provided design advice, which included proposing 250-millimetre walls in lieu of columns that protruded into apartments. The wall design allowed for the same structural grids from the original foundation design and enabled a 200-millimetre flat slab to be continuous, spanning between the walls.
