Oman Regional Airports Expansion (Adam, Sohar, Ras Al Hadd and Al Duqm Airports)
Similar to several sister countries in the Middle East, Oman is a growing destination for tourists.
The country has several airports to welcome passengers, including Muscat International Airport and Salahah International Airport, and Adam, Sohar, Ras Al Hadd and Al Duqm regional airports, among others.
BG&E provided structural engineering for the four above-mentioned regional airports, specifically, design services.
Our scope of work included designing the infrastructures’ airport operations, passenger terminal, runway, control tower, cargo hangar (at Sohar and Al Duqm), and the supporting, operation and maintenance facilities.
The regional airports were designed for up to 250,000 passengers per year.
