Nestled in Sydney’s trendy Surry Hills, 9-25 Commonwealth Street is a $55 million project which includes a 35-strorey mixed-use tower, four underground car-park floors, a ground floor retail area, a 13-floor hotel and the remaining floors are residential apartments.

BG&E provided structural engineering services and the key features included:

  • slender mixed-use tower;
  • transferring core walls;
  • car lifts instead of conventional ramps in the basements;
  • truck turn-table in the loading dock;
  • post‐tension concrete floors; and
  • a 15-metre high facade truss on the roof.
