9-25 Commonwealth Street
Nestled in Sydney’s trendy Surry Hills, 9-25 Commonwealth Street is a $55 million project which includes a 35-strorey mixed-use tower, four underground car-park floors, a ground floor retail area, a 13-floor hotel and the remaining floors are residential apartments.
BG&E provided structural engineering services and the key features included:
- slender mixed-use tower;
- transferring core walls;
- car lifts instead of conventional ramps in the basements;
- truck turn-table in the loading dock;
- post‐tension concrete floors; and
- a 15-metre high facade truss on the roof.
