Serving as the new headquarters for market leader, Chevron, the 132-metre tall anchored development will comprise prime commercial space, including an elegant lobby, and well-appointed conference and exhibition areas.
BG&E is providing structural and civil engineering services, under a design and construct contract for the complete design, documentation and contract administration, for the premier corporate tower.
The tower will include approximately 60,000 square metres of gross floor area, which will be distributed across 32-storeys and two basement floors.
The structure will include an offset side core, with extensive work undertaken by a specialist wind consultant, to provide sufficient stiffness into the structure, ensuring it complies with the horizontal acceleration serviceability criteria. The office floor structures include post-tensioned concrete banded slabs and have been designed to meet stringent vibration criteria.
Around the tower, will be a four-storey, mixed-use podium containing a childcare centre, end-of-trip facilities and conference facilities. There is also substantial landscaping across the ground level, which will provide a welcoming and seamless interface into the surrounding Elizabeth Quay precinct.
