This savvy mixed-used residential and commercial project is located at 1 Garnet Road, Westmere in Auckland, and is part of the ongoing development that is occurring in the highly-sought after waterfront suburb, in the nation’s capital.
The residential apartments will contribute a modern mid-rise development to the local skyline, which currently comprises of mostly private housing, constructed during the 1920s.
BG&E is providing detailed design (PS1), facade engineering and construction monitoring (PS4) services for the four-storey apartment block. The project also encompasses retail and commercial office space on the ground floor and a half basement. The building is predominately patterned precast panels and aluminum cladding finished with large joinery openings and a unique metal screen louvre spanning three-storeys mixed with foliage.
